Where I Work Best
Whilst I love to support any family I think it’s important to recognise where I feel I make the biggest positive impact. Having been a postnatal doula for a few years now, I know what I’m good at and where my confidence is strongest.
Women who have experienced trauma on a previous birth and want this time to feel different & healing.
Families that are planning a C-Section birth at East Surrey Hospital.
Families that don’t have supportive people around to help them.
Women who want to breastfeed their babies.
Mothers who feel it makes biological sense to co-sleep with their babies.
My postnatal support is available in the following postcode areas: RH1, RH2, RH3, RH6, RH9, CR3, CR5 & KT20.
Overnight postnatal hospital support at East Surrey Hospital or Epsom Hospital.

How our journey together may look
Session 1: Initial Chat; 30 minutes, free of charge face to face meeting, to explore whether we connect.
Session 2: Antenatal visit; 2 hours, meeting other members of your family, support with nesting or packing your hospital bag, fully understanding your wishes and needs.
Session 3: Overnight Support; 12 hours in the hospital following your birth so your partner can go home to sleep, refuel and be present with your older child(ren). Whilst with you I take notes, communicate reassuring information and updates to your partner, encourage skin to skin, minimise interruptions so you can bond, rest and recover. Support your breastfeeding journey. Practical baby care, liaise with the ward staff, advocate for your needs and helping you in the ways you need.
Session 4: Postnatal; 2 hours. Depending on the length of your hospital stay the next visit may be to support your transition home. An extra pair of hands to ensure your comfortable settling in back home. Meeting the needs of your other children whilst you settle in. Preparing a light, easily digestible meal that supports your recovery.
Session 5: Postnatal; 3 hours. Feeding support, holding baby so you can sleep, eat or shower.
Session 6: Postnatal 2 hours. Listening, tidying, changing nappies, making you a cup of tea.
Session 7: Postnatal 2 hours. Driving you to an appointment, picking up a prescription, making lunch.
Session 8: Postnatal 2 hours. Upsizing baby clothes, picking up groceries, sending a parcel.
Session 9: Postnatal 2 hours. Preparing dinner, loading the dishwasher, folding laundry.
Session 10: Postnatal 2 hours. Taking baby out for a walk whilst you take a nap.
Session 11: Postnatal 2 hours. Playing games and reading with your toddler. Giving you time and space.
This support is made up of a combination of my Overnight Supporter package and a 15 Hours Postnatal Package.
Above is suggestion of how postnatal support might look. Every session with a postnatal mummy looks different, they’re structured around your needs. Whilst your plan might be to go for a sleep whilst I’m with you, your baby might have other plans that we need to respond to. Some days I might be your older child’s best friend but other days they may just want their mummy. My gentle approach to you and your family is responsive to everyone’s needs and respectful of boundaries.
I’ve supported some families for two weeks and others two years and counting! Whilst I typically support up to one year postpartum I encourage all the families that want me in their space to reach out if times feel difficult.
