There’s lots of welcoming local groups where you can meet other parents with a similar age. Most will offer you a cup of tea and a biscuit in exchange for a pound or two.

Bookmark this page for one of those days when you just want to escape the house.

Please do check the websites before you visit, many are term time only or require you to prebook, I’d hate for any wasted journeys. They’re typically run by volunteers.
